Tachi possesses a body built through constant extensive and rigorous training, marred with a myriad of scars from countless battles and conflicts. The scars that cover his back are said to have come from either shielding others, or from betrayals, and only those closest to him learn the truth.Past all of his scars, he sports a handsome yet weary countenance, often as unmoving as stone and mountain, only creasing ever so slightly despite the weight of emotions behind it. His true expressions tend to be distinct and youthful, when his guard is lowered, and he allows himself to truly be immersed in the moment.He typically wears robes or attire that sport a similar shade of red to his clan's banners. Tachi is outwardly a stoic, cold man with a gaze hardened by the horrors of war, and his glowing eyes did not help the intimidation factor. However, beneath that exterior is a kind and giving soul, having learned caution against his optimism and trusting nature due to him suffering at the hands of ones he trusted. He would move mountains and cross rivers to provide and protect those who stand by his side, even at the expense of his own desires or capabilities.Patient to almost no fault, he often tolerates many things others would see as insulting or offensive, keeping truth close to his heart and conviction a close shield. He tends to overwork himself for the benefit of others, spreading himself across many responsibilities and obligations, and plays damage control in between.Despite being a vassal to the crown of Doma, he had a humble upbringing, and he doesn't enforce titles nor customs that befit a lord of the Far East. In fact, had it not been for his obvious clan emblem and otherwise semi-decadent attire, no one would really know he was a noble. Tachi was born in Doma as the Garleans invaded. While his clan made a valiant effort to fight off the invasion, many have perished, leaving his family to board the next ship to Kugane and live there instead.Growing up in the port city, Tachi was exposed to a variety of cultures and knowledge. At seven summers old, he was enrolled under a master to learn the way of the shinobi. His training was mostly abusive, and his gentleness was often exploited. It became clear that Tachi's strength lay in the way of the sword, which he was largely left to learn alone.Through a fever dream of searching for approval, validation, and affection (as he had been robbed of such attention), Tachi turned his attention into training, forsaking what's left of the comforts of his childhood in order to become better. After learning of the Empire's oppression of Doma, Tachi left his home to fight for freedom. Unfortunately, after a defeat, he was taken in by the Garleans as a prisoner and test subject for Resonance.After escaping with the help of his countrymen, he volunteered to use his newfound strength to fight for Doma's freedom once more, and later Ala Mhigo's, before he took the life of an adventurer. Ever a bleeding heart, Tachi's motivation to venture the land came from what he had seen in the wars of liberation he was apart of, making sure no one ever had to suffer as he did. His overwhelming kindness and general naivety is also why he is a pillar to the community of the free company he now commands.
